[Remote] Engineer II, Advanced Research (Remote)

Responsibilities
- Work with industry-leading technologies like Kafka, Flink, Redis, ElasticSearch and Cassandra and LLMs
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the capabilities of distributed cloud services. Keeping services up and running in a healthy state
- Work closely with other internal engineering teams to integrate new capabilities into our Falcon platform
Skills
- United States Citizenship OR Permanent Residency is necessary to retain access to resources for this role (NO Clearance necessary)
- Computer science degree or commensurate experience
- Programming expertise in at least one language
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, RESTful patterns, and multithreading concepts
- Proficiency building and scaling services in production
- Hands on experience to any of the CI/CD tools and process such as Jenkins / Bamboo
- Experience interacting with major cloud provider APIs to provision cloud infrastructure, and to monitor it. (AWS, GCP, AZURE)
- Effective communication across functions and levels throughout the company
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes
- Java / Scala, Go, or Python experience is preferred
- Familiarity with AWS, Kafka, Flink, Grafana
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong debugging skills
- Hands on experience in large-scale (distributed) system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization
- Experience working in cybersecurity or intelligence fields
