Senior Accountant I, Corporate Accounting
Job Description:
- Supports operations of the accounting teams
- Demonstrates effective collaboration across organization
- Identifies process improvements opportunities
- Promotes a culture in which processes balance innovation and financial accountability
- Prepares manual journal entries related to accruals, prepaids, reserves
- Monitors accounting entries created during the month
- Analyzes monthly financial results
- Readily identifies data anomalies and exceptions
- Participates in timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual close process tasks
- Supports the annual audit process
- Collaborates with International teams
- Supports assurance of accurate data integrity
- Prepares monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Documents procedures and keeps them up to date
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in the reconciliation/reporting procedure
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including financial analysis and systems experience
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in process optimization and automation
- Ability to work effectively across teams and geographies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- CPA preferred
